NHS waiting list breaches 7MILLION for first time ever
More than 7 million people in England are currently waiting for routine operations via the NHS. This figure is its highest since records for the NHS began in 2007. Nearly 400,000 people have been waiting for over a year for operations while suffering severe pain. A&E wait times have broken records with 30,000 people waiting 12 hours to be admitted. Ambulances are now taking an average of 48 minutes to arrive, with some heart attack patients waiting up to 8 hours.
