NIST finalizes 3 post-quantum cryptography standards
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released three post-quantum encryption standards designed to protect against quantum-powered cyberattacks. The algorithms, collectively known as FIPS 203, 204 and 205, will help secure a wide range of electronic information. Post-quantum cryptography can offer organizations, particularly those in healthcare, a path to a quantum-safe future. IBM is supporting the transition, advising businesses to identify cryptography vulnerabilities, generate a Cryptographic Bill of Materials and transition to quantum-safe solutions.
