Norfolk and Suffolk police: Victims and witnesses hit by data breach

Over 1,230 people have had their data breached by Norfolk and Suffolk police forces, which included victims of crime, witnesses, and their personal information. The data was mistakenly included in Freedom of Information responses to crime statistics requests due to a technical issue. Although hidden in the files, the information was not supposed to be in the responses. The forces have apologized and plans are in place to contact those affected by the end of September.
