North Korea Lazarus Group beefs up its malware attacks once again

North Korean hackers group Lazarus is escalating its cyber attacks with new, advanced strategies. Recently, it manipulated Microsoft IIS web servers to disseminate malware. Lazarus has also begun using open-source tools and frameworks during the initiation phase of its attacks, introducing a remote access Trojan malware strain targeting healthcare firms and internet providers. Beyond exploiting existing software vulnerabilities, the group also uses social engineering tactics to manipulate victims into downloading malware.
