North Korean ‘spy’ charged over NHS cyber attack
US prosecutors have charged North Korean man Park Jin Hyok over his alleged involvement in the 2017 cyber attack on the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). The malware attack forced NHS staff to revert to using pen and paper. Hyok is believed to be a member of the Lazarus Group, which is accused of a 2014 hack on Sony Pictures. Mr Park is alleged to have committed computer fraud, abuse and wire fraud, but is currently believed to be in North Korea.
