Northwell Health adds advanced weapons detection

Massachusetts-based Evolv has developed touchless detection systems that screen for weapons and contraband at three hospitals in New York. The Evolv Express systems can screen 4,000 people per hour without requiring the unpacking of bags or the removal of coats, helping to eliminate slow lines typically associated with security screenings. The technology has already prevented more than 30,000 guns from entering locations in North America and the UK this year. The systems also integrate with video and mass notification systems and provide an analytics dashboard for incident review.
