Norway healthcare cyber-attack could be biggest of its kind
Norway’s biggest health authority has suffered a “very professional” cyber-attack, in what has been described by experts as one of the largest of its kind in healthcare. Health South East RHF, which holds the data of 2.8 million people, was the target of the advanced, persistent attack on 8 January. Although authorities have yet to determine the extent of the data breach, the country’s police force is investigating the incident as an act of intelligence against state secrets.
