NSLHD program supporting elderly recognised internationally

The Northern Sydney Local Health District and Sydney North Health Network’s partnership, which supports frail and elderly people in the community, was acknowledged at the International Hospital Federation Awards. The program reduced emergency visits and unplanned hospital admissions by 51%, saving $10.9 million in 2023. The collaboration offers proactive healthcare, using a network of hospital staff, GPs and community services to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
