NSW bug hunters turned up 22,000 vulnerabilities in gov computers in 2022 – Security

More than 22,000 vulnerabilities were discovered in NSW government systems in 2021, according to a report from Cyber Security NSW. The audit also reported 23 sensitive information disclosures, while 77,000 passwords used by agencies were found in previous data breaches. Cyber Security NSW said it worked to patch Log4j vulnerabilities amidst detection of exploitation attempts and assured of developing methods to consistently assess agency compliance with cyber security policies.
