Offers for Rewards in Exchange for Information on Leaders of LockBit and Associated Affiliates

Bloody hell, you’ll never guess the latest piece of drama to come out of cyberland. You remember that LockBitSupp character, always moping about not getting enough recognition for his deeds? Well, he’s finally going to get a bit of what he asked for. Not exactly in the way he’d like, mind you, but sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for!

In a bit of a twist, the good folks over at the Department of State, those chaps who manage all the diplomatic stuff and deal with all those bothersome international affairs, are slapping a whopper of a bounty on any information about the LockBit ransomware mob.

Up to a whopping $15 million (yes, you read that right, million) for any juicy tit-bit leading to the arrest and conviction of the nasties involved, or to track down the big cheeses leading this jolly jape. Talk about your name in lights, although probably not the way our moany old LockBitSupp envisaged it!

Since the start of 2020, this crowd has been up to no good with hefty attacks everywhere, targeting innocents in the States, as well as globally, and it’s not just a slap on the wrist they’ve been causing. Weak-kneed victims have coughed up over $144 million to recover from these dastardly acts. It’s been a proper bother for everyone, causing major disruptions and making off with all sorts of valuable info.

This new bounty is just the latest move in the ongoing battle, adding some clout behind announcements from the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who are working together like Batman and Robin with the National Crime Agency over here in Blighty, and other international crime fighters, in a bit of a united front against these ruffians.

And they are not just stopping there. The Yanks are also throwing a spanner in the works for a couple of individuals involved in LockBit, putting them on a dodgy list. The aim is to continue to stand together and disrupt any old Tom, Dick, or Harry who thinks they can threaten our economies and critical infrastructures. It’s all a proper team effort, even if it is against challenging foes.

Anyway, if you get wind of any information that might help the authorities pull one over on this nasty lot, you can drop the FBI a line by email, via Telegram or Signal. Remember, there’s a lovely fat bounty on offer under the Department of State’s programme that aims to tackle organized crime globally. And just imagine being the one who helps nab these chaps – you’d be a right hero, wouldn’t you?
