Ohio HIE flexes its collaboration muscles

The Ohio Health Information Partnership operates as a nonprofit HIE, called CliniSync, that aims to collaborate with private HIEs. The organization helps providers with information sharing and meaningful use, particularly in rural areas where they may lack resources. CliniSync also offers connections between health systems and provides services to health plans. Public HIEs play a crucial role in supporting technological advances and information exchange within health systems. Without multiple business ventures, public HIEs may struggle to be financially sustainable.
