Omni Hotels confirms data compromise in apparent ransomware attack
Omni Hotels & Resorts confirmed that a cyberattack on March 29 compromised some customer data, including names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and guests’ loyalty program information. It insisted the data did not include sensitive information such as personal payment or financial details. It’s been reported that the Daixin Team ransomware group was responsible, demanding a $3.5 million ransom, later reduced to $2 million. Omni did not reveal if the ransom was paid.
