One-third of Healthcare Websites Still Use Meta Pixel Tracking Code

A study by data privacy firm Lokker revealed that one-third of healthcare websites still use Meta Pixel tracking codes, despite risks of lawsuits, data breaches, and non-compliance with HIPAA rules. The study exposed unauthorized data collection, ineffective privacy tools, and the complexities of data privacy protection across multiple industries. In 2024 alone, over 80 lawsuits relating to video privacy violations were filed due to the use of such tracking codes.
