Operations and appointments still being cancelled after NHS cyber attack

Two weeks after a ransomware attack on pathology services provider Synnovis, more than 1,100 operations and over 2,190 outpatient appointments have been postponed at London’s NHS Trusts. The number of rearranged operations decreased in the second week following the attack but the number of missed outpatient appointments increased. Despite this, urgent and emergency services have continued as normal. NHS England has apologised to affected patients and reassured them that staff are working to reschedule appointments as quickly as possible.
