Operations and appointments still being cancelled after NHS cyber attack

Healthcare services in London continue to be impacted two weeks after a cyberattack on Synnovis, a pathology services provider. In the second week following the attack alone, over 1,600 procedures and appointments were postponed at two major hospitals. Despite a decrease in postponed surgical procedures, outpatient cancellations have risen. The total affected reaches over 3,300 appointments and surgeries. The attack, allegedly the work of a Russian group, severely limited Synnovis’ capability to manage blood tests.
