Oracle acquires machine learning platform Datascience.com

Software company Oracle has signed an agreement to acquire DataScience.com, a cloud-platform used for data science initiatives. The deal will allow the two firms to adopt a unified machine learning approach for big data projects to aid predictive analysis. While the terms for the deal have not been revealed, the purchase is part of Oracle’s expansion into the artificial intelligence (AI) sector.
