Outdated IT systems endanger NHS security, warns ex UK cyber chief

The recent cyberattack on Synnovis, a pathology services organisation holding NHS patient data, highlighted the issue. Professor Martin stressed the importance of updating IT systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and improving basic security measures. He also emphasised the need for robust backup solutions and warning against single points of failure.
