P2PInfect botnet activity surges 600x with stealthier malware variants

The P2PInfect botnet worm has surged in activity since August 2023, with highly elevated volumes seen in late September. Cado Security reported initial access attempts by the malware tripling from late August to early September, and saw a 600x increase in attempts in just one week. The worm is constantly developing, making it stealthier and a formidable threat.
