Mauricio Valencia of Team Colombia, who won the gold medal in the men’s shot put F34 final at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, modified his canine teeth to look like fangs. He did this to challenge stereotypes about Paralympic athletes, stating that they should be seen as a spectacle.
