Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms
Hacking group INC Ransom alleges that it has three terrabytes of data from NHS Scotland, releasing a “proof pack” of the data, confirmed to be genuine by the health board. It follows a cyber attack earlier this month on NHS Dumfries & Galloway, said now to have had little effect on patient services. Various agencies are examining the impact and a police investigation is ongoing.
