Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms

Data from NHS Scotland appears to have been stolen, according to a post by the group INC Ransom. Although the Scottish Government said that the incident was limited to one health board, the post implied that the group had three terabytes of data. The health board confirmed the genuine nature of the data in a “proof pack” and promised to contact affected patients.
