Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms

Cyber-criminals have stolen – and have already released some – 3 TB of patient data from NHS Scotland, leading to government, police and the National Cyber Security Centre to investigate the incident. NHS Scotland’s affected health board has confirmed the data is genuine and is contacting those patients impacted.
