Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms
The Scottish Government contained a cyber attack on National Health Service (NHS) Dumfries and Galloway to one health board. A post by alleged hackers, INC Ransom, claimed they had three terabytes of data from NHS Scotland. While services were not impacted, “a significant amount” of data was put at risk. NHS Dumfries and Galloway will contact affected patients.
