Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms
NHS Dumfries and Galloway confirmed a cyber attack by a group called INC Ransom, which claims to have uploaded a “proof pack” of three terabytes of NHS Scotland data. The incident has been contained to one health board and patient data has been leaked. An investigation has been launched by the National Cyber Security Centre, among others. Patients have been assured that services will continue as normal.
