Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms
The cyber attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway earlier this month has been claimed by group INC Ransom, which says it has three terabytes of patient data. The group has posted a “proof pack” of the data on its dark web blog. The health board says patients will be contacted about the data leak, while Police Scotland and the National Cyber Security Centre continue to investigate the incident, aided by the Scottish Government.
