Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms

A hacker group named INC Ransom has claimed to be in possession of three terabytes of patient data following a cyber attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway. The Scottish Government has said that the breach is contained to this health board alone. Affected patients will be contacted by the board, meanwhile patient services will continue as normal. Authorities are investigating the incident.
