Patient data published online following south east London cyber attack
Cybercriminals claiming responsibility for a ransomware attack on health technology provider Synnovis have published stolen patient data online, according to NHS England. The June 3rd attack, attributed to Russian hacker group Qilin, disrupted southeast London pathology services, rescheduling over 800 surgeries and 700 outpatient appointments. An analysis of the published data is ongoing to determine its source and contents, while NHS Dumfries and Galloway warned patients of a similar data breach in March.
