Patient data reportedly published online following cyber attack in London, with significant disruption expected
A cyber group claims to have published data stolen from Synnovis, a pathology laboratory that processes blood tests for the NHS. NHS England states that it is not yet clear what data has been taken and it will take some time to fully restore operations. The ransomware attack has also affected services at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital, causing delays in blood testing, postponements of appointments and operations, and re-testing of certain unprocessed samples.
