Patient preferences for accessing medical data are shifting, says ONC

The usage of web-based patient portals and smartphone applications for health information the US has more than doubled between 2014 and 2022. According to the Health Information National Trends Survey data, more than half of individuals who were offered online access to their medical records used the service at least thrice, and one in three accessed them six or more times. Despite improvements, patients still want health data to be more understandable.
