Patients urged to stay safe in wake of Dumfries and Galloway NHS data theft

A warning has been issued by NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s chief executive Julie White, stating that staff and patients are potentially at risk following a February cyber-attack, in which large numbers of files were illegally copied. Medical records were allegedly unaffected, but other documents such as patient letters, test results and X-rays were later published on the internet.
