PBM executives threatened with fines and jail time for alleged perjury in House hearing

The chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, James Comer, is threatening the leaders of the three largest pharmacy benefit managers in the US with steep fines or jail time for allegedly lying in a recent congressional hearing. The executives are accused of falsely claiming their PBMs treat all pharmacies equally, while evidence suggests they favour their own pharmacies at the expense of others. Comer has asked the executives to correct their statements by 11 September or face legal consequences.
