Pharmacists slam J&J’s plan to end upfront 340B discounts
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacies (ASHP) and advocacy group 340B Health have asked the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to intervene against Johnson & Johnson’s planned changes to 340B drug discounts. J&J wants hospitals to submit data to qualify for rebates, which ASHP says “violates the basic operation” of the discount programme. HRSA said J&J’s plan did not align with statutory requirements for the 340B programme.
