Phishing scam pretends to be the Red Cross to trick victims into installing malware

Cybersecurity researchers have identified a new threat actor, named AtlasCross, deploying trojans capable of stealing data and running malicious code. The malware uses basic methods – like Word documents with a macro function to download a trojan named DangerAds. The malicious actor has been seen impersonating the Red Cross to carry out these attacks. The primary purpose of the attacks seems to be penetrating specific networks.
