Polls show patients ill-informed on IT
Less than 10% of American adults use electronic medical records or email their doctors, according to a new poll. However, the majority of respondents said they would like their doctors to access their medical records online. The use of electronic functions by patients remains very low, with only 9% able to communicate with their doctors via email. The results also show that public attitudes towards electronic medical records have not changed much over the past few years.
