Procedures cancelled as cyber attack hits major London hospitals

Several London hospitals have been hit by a cyber attack, disrupting procedures, forcing diversion of patients and impacting GP services in certain boroughs. All the affected hospitals were partnered with pathology services provider Synnovis. It’s suspected that blood transfusions and test results were especially hit. The system reportedly fell victim to ransomware, with some sources stating results recovery could take weeks.
