ProMED Moderator Dr Ghassan Matar is Elected Co-Chair of US CDC PulseNet Middle East Network

Dr. Ghassan Matar, a professor and member of ProMED-MENA & ProMED-AMR, has been elected as the CDC PulseNet Middle East Co-Chair. His role will include overseeing regional laboratories and facilitating responses to foodborne events. Dr. Matar’s depth of experience positions the organization to continue its important work in public health and genomic surveillance.
