Proofpoint acquires Tessian to bolster AI-driven cybersecurity defences

Cybersecurity firm Proofpoint has completed its acquisition of AI security specialist Tessian, promising to deliver a robust solution that safeguards against human-related cyber risks. By bundling Proofpoint’s threat and data loss protection technology with Tessian’s AI detection skills, the companies aim to counter threats from ransomware to business email compromise. The joint platform offers an industry-first combination of user activity, behavioural AI and data classification to fight social engineering, malware and credential phishing.
