Protecting the NHS from Cyber Attacks

The UK Government published a strategy on 22 March 2023 to enhance cyber resilience across its health and social care sectors by 2030. The strategy focuses on five key areas: mitigating highest risk areas, unifying the sector, human resources and culture, preparing for future threats, and effective recovery procedures. The Cyber Security Strategy for Health and Adult Social Care is aimed at reducing risk and improving patient care, safety, and public trust in the digital technologies used by the Department of Health and Social Care, National Health Service, local authorities, social care providers, and suppliers.
