Q&A: Dartmouth’s mHealth security ace

David Kotz, computer science professor at Dartmouth, is working on a research project called “Amulet” to improve security for mHealth wearables and sensors. The focus of the project is to enable multiple applications to run on a single platform without interfering with each other and to protect personal information from wireless attackers and eavesdroppers. The Amulet platform is currently a research project funded by the National Science Foundation, but there are plans to release the hardware and software in an open manner for researchers to use.
