Qakbot malware returns, despite the FBI saying it took it out

Qakbot malware operators are potentially behind a new phishing campaign, despite recent FBI efforts to shut down their operations, cybersecurity researchers from Cisco Talos reported. The news follows the FBI’s Operation Duck Hunt, aimed at eliminating one of the most large-scale disruptive botnet networks. Qakbot is a decade-old malware that targets Windows-powered endpoints and has been used for ransomware attacks.
