Qualys Announces Ground-Breaking First-Party Software Risk Management Solution

Qualys, Inc. has announced the opening up of its risk management platform to application security (AppSec) teams, enabling them to detect, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities within company-developed software and embedded open source components. The company noted that over 90% of first-party software includes open source components and more than 40% have high risks such as exploitable vulnerabilities. The new solution will help security teams manage the risks arising from both first and third-party sources.
