Qualys unveils first-party software risk management solution

Qualys, a provider of cloud-based IT, security and compliance solutions, is opening its risk management platform to AppSec teams to assess, prioritise, and mitigate high risk from first-party software and its embedded open-source components. Traditional vulnerability assessments and analysis tools overlook embedded open-source packages, thus obscuring true risk. Qualys’ new solution allows security teams to use their detection and remediation scripts to manage both first and third-party risks more effectively.
