Ransomware attacks have room to grow, Verizon data breach report shows
The latest Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report found that ransomware attacks account for a large portion of all reported security incidents, and this trend shows no sign of slowing down. It also revealed that the Log4j vulnerability was used in 75% of digital espionage campaigns. However, it found that disgruntled employees pose a more significant cyber threat to organizations than state-backed hacking groups. Furthermore, nearly 95% of recorded breaches were financially motivated. The report analyzed data from 16,000 security incidents.
