Ransomware attacks remain the most acute threat to organisations
Ransomware attacks are posing serious threats to the UK’s critical national infrastructure and organisations, according to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). A reported 39% of businesses in the UK have fallen victim to cyberattacks in the last year. Despite attempts to increase system resilience, newer, more complex strains of ransomware are emerging. The NCSC promotes a multi-layered security strategy, including regular vulnerability tests and data backup systems. DevSecOps, which emphasises early threat detection and broad accountability for security, is being recognised as a high priority for many businesses.
