Ransomware Gang Hijacking Log4j Bug To Hit Minecraft Servers

Microsoft has warned that a small number of Minecraft customers running their own servers with a vulnerable version of Log4j have been targeted with Khonsari ransomware. To prevent attacks, customers are advised to update their Minecraft servers or stick to trusted servers. Khonsari ransomware is delivered as a payload following exploitation of the Log4j vulnerability. It’s unusual for Minecraft to be installed in enterprise networks, but adversaries have also used it to gain full access to compromised systems.
