Ransomware rocked healthcare, public services in August
In August, several US-based organisations across various sectors were affected by ransomware attacks. These significantly disrupted operations: from delaying healthcare services at McLaren Health Care, to forcing businesses like the Port of Seattle, Jas Worldwide and Microchip Technology to adjust operations and services. The attacks also caused major disruptions in public institutions, including cities like Flint, Killeen and North Miami, causing breakdown of essential services.
