RelayHealth’s PHR wins Blue Button contest

RelayHealth, the connectivity business of McKesson, has won a $50,000 prize for upgrading its personal health record (PHR) to use Blue Button technology. At least 25,000 physicians offered the new Blue Button functions to their patients through RelayHealth in order for the company to win the prize. The Blue Button concept was developed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and allows patients to see, download, and keep their health data by clicking the “Blue Button” on a secure website.
