Report finds 10% of pharma manufacturers at high risk for ransomware
A new report by cybersecurity platform Black Kite highlights that 10% of global pharmaceutical manufacturers are at a high risk of ransomware attacks. The interruption of manufacturing life-saving drugs or therapies could have catastrophic consequences. The report identified security issues such as out-of-date systems, phishing vulnerability, and past data breaches as key vulnerabilities. Additionally, third-party vendors, IT solutions, and software vendors are also at risk. The pharmaceutical industry, with its digital transformation, data access, and complex supply chains, is an attractive target for cybercriminals.
