Researchers spot an increase in Jupyter infostealer infections

Infections from the Jupyter infostealer have risen dramatically in recent weeks, specifically targeting the healthcare and education sectors, according to VMware’s Carbon Black Threat Analysis Unit. The malware, which was first detected in late 2020, allows hackers to steal data and credentials. The malware has evolved to target Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers, while the hackers themselves have exploited search engines to lure individuals into downloading malicious files.
