Roku Data Breach Compromised Over 500,000 Accounts

Roku has revealed that approximately 591,000 accounts were compromised in two separate cyberattacks. These “credential stuffing” attacks led to unauthorized purchases using stored payment details. Despite this, no data security compromise happened within Roku’s systems. The company has notified affected customers, implemented password resets, refunds, and enforced two-factor authentication. It has recommended users to create strong passwords and verify authenticity of any requests for account information.
